The building will provide views across the north towards the Adelaide Parklands and River Torrens, and across the west to the coast

This project proposes a twenty-two storey, mixed-use building that includes 180 hotel rooms, 24 apartments, and opportunities for commercial real estate on the ground and mezzanine levels. The structure’s proposed location along the southern edge of Light Square is an accessible and scenic location in the Adelaide CBD. The building will provide views across the north towards the Adelaide Parklands and River Torrens, and across the west to the coast.

The architectural approach taken on this project tests the boundaries of modular construction technology by rotating the modules to create a taller and more slender footprint while maximising the number of hotel rooms per module. The facade design introduces subtle fin-like chambers up the building to provide shade to the western facade. Near the top of the building, the facade is broken to create deep balconies for the upper level apartments. Additionally, the upper levels are tiered to provide shared terrace and amenity spaces while continuously exploiting the western Adelaide views.
